The best Francesinha in Porto. I have tried many francesinhas, but none compare to this one. Very nice and cozy vibe. If you're looking for a local Portuguese place with a great vibe: go here. It feels real and authentic. They serve francesinha, a hamburger, omelets, and meat dishes. Besides, they have vegetarian options like vegetarian lasagna and vegetarian francesinha (!). The staff is super friendly. It's visible they get along with guests so easily and bond with people, and if you don't speak Portuguese, many of them can help you in English as well. It seems an obvious favourite place for locals, as most of the guests speak Portuguese. I wish I was hungrier to try more of the menu and desserts. We would go back if we stayed longer in this area. Thank you!

So this was my first francesinha. It was definitely unique but nothing amazing. Can’t judge the restaurant’s dish itself since I have nothing to compare it to. The place is obviously family run and they’re hustling but I give it this rating because when I paid, they gave me the wrong change back. They initially told me that their menu prices are wrong and that it’s a dollar more than listed. Then a man came out and told me that this wasn’t true but that it’s .50 cents to take my leftovers home. He then proceeded to give me the correct change. Just odd…

AMAZING! Really loved our meal. Four of us got the francesinha - super super great. Piping hot sandwich out of the wood fired oven. The sauce was delicious and the sandwich as well. Super large and meat heavy, so be warned. It has steak, two types of other sliced meat, and sausage. I was left with a bunch left over but you can ask for a to go box (maybe split the sandwich with someone.) the chips that came with it were delicious too. crunchy in the inside and soft in the middle. overall a great visit. definitely swing by if you are in porto.

The dinner was incredibly good. The Francesinha was incredible and out of this world. The service was extremely hospitable and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have an authentic Francesinha. It is also family owned and they take pride in the food they make. 10/10

Are you in PORTO ! Stop what your doing and visit Perto do Cais Gaia. Lovely little place quite close to Graham Port Lodge. Their Francesinha Com Batata are cooked in an oven on Traditional Portuguese plates and they are absolutely gorgeous. Nice service from the staff.
